Playmaker Armor Set (RUST Cosmetic Items)

The playmaker armor set was designed after the playmaker AK-47 was added to RUST, designed to incorporate the same themes of cobbled together video game components and buttons.

The armor took inspiration from a lot of places. The facemask was largely inspired by B-MO from adventure time, who is a walking gameboy with a digital face. So, on this skin, i created a digital smile. I would've made digital eyes too, however, the holes in the mesh prevented me from doing so. Regardless, I also baked a game cartridge on the top, as if it's wired into the user's brain. Creepy! The chestplate was based off of a mix of a few things- the biggest inspiration being an arcade cabinet, since it has buttons and a power switch on the front, and is covered in wires. The screen is meant to emulate the user's health, so it's a screen positioned around their heart.

I created the high poly in blender and all of the texture in SP.

Details on the mask. A cartridge is fastened to the top, and the eyebrows are made of select and start buttons. A power switch rests on the back, and they have a big bright smile!

The chest plate. The front has a large heart on a screen made to represent the user's health, with buttons and a switch to decorate it. The leather straps were turned into bundles of wires fastened to joints, sprawling all over the back.

Playmaker kilt. A lot of areas on the UV are duplicated, so I designed the components to look good even if repeated, such as both sides having the screen with two hearts. One panel looks unique because the details are obscured on one side.
